Terms & Conditions of Use
Welcome to Drive Dreams. By booking or using our self-drive car rental services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility
- • The renter must hold a valid driving licence.
- •The vehicle shall be driven only by the renter or an authorized driver approved by Drive Dreams.
2. Usage of Vehicle
- •Vehicles are for personal and lawful use only.
- •Subletting, commercial use, racing, off-roading, or illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
- •Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not allowed.
3. Rental Period & Charges
- •The vehicle must be returned on or before the agreed date and time.
- •Late returns may attract additional applicables charges.
- • Fuel, tolls, FASTag, parking, and fines are not included in rental charges.
• Washing and cleaning charges shall be applicable if the vehicle is returned in an unclean condition or with interior/exterior stains.
•If the renter books the vehicle for a period exceeding one month, periodic servicing charges will apply. The renter must make the vehicle available for one full day to complete the scheduled service.
4. Security Deposit
- •A refundable security deposit or cheque may be collected.
- •Refunds are subject to vehicle inspection and the settlement of all outstanding dues within 72 hours after the vehicle is returned.
5. Damages & Liability
- •The renter is fully responsible for any damage, loss, accident, theft, or legal liability during the rental period.
- •Insurance deductibles, depreciation, and non-payable items,loss of rental, towing charges shall be borne by the renter.
6.Traffic Violations
- •All traffic challans, penalties, or legal issues during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility.
7. Dashcam, GPS & Electronic Monitoring Consent
- •The renter gives his/her free, informed and unconditional consent that the rented
vehicle is equipped with a dash camera (dashcam) and/or GPS tracking system which may record
video footage, location, speed and related driving data during the rental period. Such recordings shall be
used solely for safety, security, dispute resolution, insurance, legal compliance and protection of the
vehicle, and shall not be misused. Drive Dreams shall not tamper with, disable or obstruct the
functioning of any such device, failing which The renter shall be entitled to take appropriate legal action.
8. Cancellation & Refund
- •Cancellation and refund are governed by the Refund Policy displayed on the website.
9.Termination & Repossession
- •The renter expressly consents that in case of non-payment of rent, extension charges, breach of
terms, suspected misuse, illegal activity, or failure to return the vehicle on time, Drive Dreams shall have
the right to remotely immobilize, stop, track, recover or repossess the vehicle through electronic or
physical means, without prior notice and without any liability
10.KM Limit & Additional Charges
The daily running limit of the vehicle shall be as under:
- • Hill Station Routes: Maximum 200 kilometers per day.
- • National / Plain Highways: Maximum 250 kilometre's per day and monthly 5000 allowed. Any usage exceeding the above-mentioned limits shall be chargeable as per the terms and rates specified in the agreement.
11. Smoking, Alcohol, Pets & Interior Cleanliness
- •Smoking inside the vehicle, consumption of alcohol, carrying pets, or any activity that results in bad odor
or stains inside or outside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. If any smell (including cigarette, alcohol, pet
or food odor) or stains are found at the time of return, the renter shall be liable to pay professional
cleaning, deodorizing, repair or restoration charges along with loss of rental, as determined by the Drive Dreams.
- •The vehicle shall be driven only by the renter or an authorized driver approved by Drive Dreams.
12. Jurisdiction
- •All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Chandigarh, India.
